Care Guide

Every piece we create is crafted with intention, the weight, the fit, the feel. Taking care of your garments keeps them looking sharp and wearable for years.
This guide is your baseline. Always check the care label on your item for any unique notes.

Before You Wash

Zip Everything Up
Close all zippers, snaps, and clasps to protect the fabric.

Turn It Inside Out
Keeps the outer surface smooth and prevents fading or friction wear.

Secure Drawcords
Light knot. No tangles. No stretching.

Washing

Cold Water. Gentle Cycle.
Keeps the structure tight and the fabric feeling premium.

Use Mild Detergent Only
Skip bleach and fabric softeners; they weaken fibers and kill the handfeel.

Wash Similar Colors Together
Always. Especially for blacks, grays, and washed tones.

Drying

Air Dry Preferred
Hang or lay flat away from direct sun.
Preserves color, prevents shrinkage, and keeps the silhouette clean.

If You Must Machine Dry
Low heat. Remove while slightly damp to avoid wrinkles and stress on the fabric.

Ironing & Steaming

Low Heat If Ironing
Iron inside out only.

Steaming > Ironing
Best for removing wrinkles without touching the fabric surface.

Storage

Fold the Heavyweights
Hoodies and knits stay shaped longer when folded.

Hang the Structured Pieces
Use wide or padded hangers for jackets, coats, and overshirts.

Keep It Cool & Dry
Avoid sunlight, damp spaces, or overpacked closets.

Fabric Notes

Cotton & Washed Fabrics
Expect a natural softening over time. Cold wash and air dry to keep the finish refined.

Technical & Water-Resistant Materials
Use a gentle, sportswear-specific detergent. No softeners; they block performance coatings.

Items with Zippers
Always wash fully zipped. This alone adds years to the garment.

Our Care Philosophy

LIGNĒ pieces are made to stay with you, the kind of staples that get better every season.
A little care goes a long way. Cold washes and air drying not only protect the fabric, but they also cut down on energy use and reduce environmental impact.

Take care of your pieces. They’ll take care of you.
